Canadian wild ginger.
Marking my equity journey is a picture of Canadian wild ginger, a beautiful native ground cover that likes to be shady and wet. I planted it on the public parkway in front of my Chicago home where conditions are dry in the summer. But not as dry as my birth state of New Mexico. With a little care—water and mulch, it grows well enough there.
